Please read fully, as these terms form part of the contract between us when you book onto our training courses

The cost of the courses as detailed, all exclude GST at the applicable rate except in the case of our Online Mentorship Programme.

Your place on the course will not be confirmed until cleared funds and a completed enrolment form have been received.

Full payment is required before or on the morning of the course, except where your course starts on a weekend where full payment will be required the previous working day; without full payment you will not be able to start the course. You may make as many payments as you wish between the time you pay your deposit and the time the final balance is due.

The deposit amount is $800 for every course except the Online Mentorship Programme.

In the event that one of our trainers is travelling to your salon or studio and travelling costs are being charged, these will be due at the time the deposit is paid. No travel arrangements will be booked or confirmed until the payment has been processed. If after the credit check has been processed you change the date of the training or cancel (in line with our cancellation policy) then you will only receive the proportion of the travel costs that we are able to recover; in the event that we are unable to recover any costs then no refund will be provided.

Payment can be made by Credit/Debit Card or PayPal.

Course attendance is the responsibility of the student; getting to and from Katrina Ellen’s training centre (where applicable) is the responsibility of the student.

Where stated in course details, Katrina Ellen will provide a start-up kit on the first day of the course which will be yours to keep. We will provide disposable items for the kit during your course. The contents of the kit can be supplied on request. Please note that from time to time we will alter the contents of the kit due to circumstances beyond our control such as the discontinuing or replacement of certain products.

Katrina Ellen will make every endeavour to meet any special requests that have been notified in advance on the booking form.

Lunch will be provided for all students when attending a training course with us – please advise us at your earliest convenience of any dietary requirements so that we can cater for you on the day of your course.

Cancellation

You will have a period of 2 Days following the payment of your deposit (which forms the start of the contract between us) to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of the deposit amount. However, if you have booked within 2 Days of the training course commencing, your deposit will be non-refundable.

Following the cancellation period we will be happy to move your course to another date that is suitable but will be unable to provide a refund of the deposit paid.

Please note that where travel and subsistence charges have been applied, where non-refundable travel arrangements have been made such as flights or bus tickets this cost will not be refunded as they do not make up part of the course deposit.

In the event that you are travelling to a KE training and your trainer is forced to cancel the training due to death, illness or other serious incident, you will only be refunded the training deposit. Any travel or accommodation arrangements you have made and paid for, will not be refunded by KE. In this instance however, and if you so desire, KE will honour your commitment by arranging to travel to you to complete the training at a later date that suits both parties. The cost of the course, including the deposit, will still be required in full before training commences. In this instance, KE will cover the cost of accommodation and travel as a gesture of goodwill.

All notice of your wish to cancel must be received in writing to katellenstudio@gmail.com.

If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked and have not given prior notice to Katrina Ellen then no refund will be made and no transfer will be allowed.

Katrina Ellen reserves the right to cancel courses for circumstances outside of our control. In the event of this students will be notified with as much notice as possible and either offered a) a place on a future course, or b) a full refund of any course fees paid. Likewise Katrina Ellen reserves the right to relocate a course to a different venue should circumstances beyond our control dictate. Notice will be given to students as soon as is practical.

Failure Policy

If a student fails to achieve the required standard on a training course we will do everything in our power to find another model for them to work on to help during the normal duration of their course to help them pass however this is not always possible; in the event it is not possible to get more models on the days that they are being trained we can offer the student extra days to stay and train at a cost of $600 per day to help them pass (subject to a trainer being available).

If neither of these options are available we will have no choice but to withhold their certificate. The student will need to return to Katrina Ellen at one of its monthly ‘open days’ with their own model to complete a procedure in front of an instructor. The cost of attendance will be $600. A certificate will not be issued until one of these options has been completed.

Photographs

Photographs will be taken during the course which Katrina Ellen reserves the right to use for advertising and social media purposes. If you do not wish for your photographs to be used in this manner please email us at katellenstudio@gmail.com prior to your course training date to advise us.

We will not, without your consent, supply your name and addresses to any [other] third parties except where (1) such transfer is a necessary part of the activities that we undertake, or (2) we are required to do so by operation of law.
